Looking Forward to Seeing All of Our Students on September 6, 2016

Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. and we want to warmly welcome back all of our students and our new students.

On the first day of school, there will be supervision in the yard starting at 8:45 a.m.  At this time parents can come with their children and follow the procedures outlined below:

  • All kindergarten children will meet outside in the kindergarten yard.  At 9:00 the   children will be guided into their classrooms through the kindergarten door. We kindly remind all parents to say their goodbyes outside to foster independence in their children. The first day for JK students only will be a half day from 8:45 to 11:30 a.m.

  •       Students who will be in grades 1 - 8 will be met by teachers in the school yard at the back of the school and will be directed where to line up. Parents will notice that there will be signs placed on chairs to indicate where each grade level is to line up before entry.

Please do not drop your children off before 8:45 a.m. All children are expected to walk around the school using the sidewalk and the path to enter the school yard where supervision at 8:45 a.m. is provided.

In case of rain, students in grades 1 - 8 will enter the front foyer and go directly to the gym.  All kindergarten students will enter through the kindergarten doors right away in case of rain.

For pick up at the end of the day at 3:30 p.m. students will be dismissed from their dismissal doors into the school yard. The dismissal doors are as follows:

Kindergarten: Kindergarten Door
Grade1 -3 :     Primary Door
Grade 4-8 :     Intermediate Door

We respectfully remind all parents to wait OUTSIDE the dismissal doors to pick up their children.  Please remember that all doors to the school are locked at all times to ensure student safety. Kindergarten students will be dismissed directly to parents from the kindergarten classroom doors at the end of the day.

Please do not call the office regarding class placement. We are still in the process of registering students and class lists are still being finalized. Students will find out who their teacher is and class placement on the first day of school.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday, September 6, 2016.
