Yesterday, Wednesday February 22, the Intermediate Boys' Basketball Team participated in the Area Qualifier Tournament. The competition was fierce as all 5 teams brought a tough, physical, and competitive mindset. The boys played extremely well during the round robin competition. They lost a close game to Woodland by 4 points. They beat Westminster and Thornhill. And they lost a heartbreaker to undefeated Baythorn by 1 point and with only 1 second remaining in the game.
The boys' hopes were high as they entered the semi-finals against a tough team from Woodland. The winner would be guaranteed 2nd place and would advance to the Area
Finals. Although they played their best, it was not enough. The boys lost a close game to Woodland...officially ending their season.

The character, spirit, and determination that this team displayed yesterday was truly inspiring. Through all of the ups and downs (and there were many), the boys kept fighting, kept trying, and always supported each other.
