Winter and March Break Camps

Registration is open for Winter and March Break Camps with the Johnsview Village Before and After School program.  We offer camp for grade JK to age 12.  Our camps encourage learning through physical and creative play. 

Winter Camp:              January 2^nd-5^th (We are not open January 1^st)

Deadline to register:    December 8^th, 2017

March Break Camp:    March 12-16, 2018

Deadline to register:    February 23^rd, 2018

Time:   Open 7:00am-6:00pm.  You may drop off and pick up any time between.  We have a fee for late pick up.

Cost:    $45 per day.

What to bring:  Please pack clothes for outside weather and indoor shoes.  Also, please bring your own lunch; however, we will provide morning and afternoon snacks.

School Cash On-Line Information

Just a reminder to all parents that JVPS is listing all items for sale and all permission forms that have a cost attached to them on School Cash On-Line.


We are asking families to please use this tool as a method of payment for the following reasons:

• Money and cheques do not need to be brought to the school making it less likely these items will be misplaced or incur cancellation bank charges for cheques
• Easier and faster for the office staff to track and handle
• All schools are using the same system to handle money

Parents need to start by registering their child.

To register a child, parents will need the STUDENT NUMBER.

If you do not know your child's student number, please call the school office at 905-881-3360 and our office staff will be happy to give you the student number.

Hallowe'en Celebration on Tuesday October 31 at JVPS

Each year, our students celebrate the long-standing tradition of Hallowe'en.

As Halloween approaches, we would like to remind our school community of a few items in order to help make this fun dress-up time as positive and safe as possible for all. 

Students choosing to celebrate this occasion in costume at our school must comply with the Safe School’s Policy.

Costume accessories including, but not limited to:

·                toy guns, knives, axes, swords, daggers, axes, any replica weapon

are NOT in compliance with York Region District School Board’s Safe Schools Policy #668.0. All costume accessories of this nature CANNOT be brought to school.  Please ensure that these items remain at home. 

In order to ensure student safety, please do not send children to school with a face mask. Students may choose to use face-paint instead.  As well, jokes or special effects that include spray cans of silly string, fake blood, etc. should be saved for Halloween evening as they are also not school appropriate. 

Please note that this policy applies to all students at all levels, including Kindergarten.

In addition, NO food will be allowed in to the school for Hallowe'en for sharing.  Please ensure that all candies and baked goods remain at home.  Any food that is brought in for classrooms will be returned to parents unopened.

Candy is NOT to be handed out in any classroom.

We want to ensure that our students with life threatening allergies remain safe at school.  As a general reminder, ALWAYS check ingredients of packaged products for your child’s snacks and lunches to ensure that the label does not say, “May contain peanuts”.

Happy Thanksgiving

We would like to wish all our families a Happy Thanksgiving and a great long weekend.
